Yes, as a jeans maker it crushes me as well to see that excellent jet black color fading. A marvelous piece of designer black denim losing its sheen.

It is inevitable- Black jeans losing the color over time and fading. Well after all even though I am a Black fan here are the tips to improve upon the lifespan of the black denim. Black will fade as practically it is not possible even if you wear it less and wash less.

Tailored jeans are still an important part of getting the best black color denim that fits superbly and has the exact black color you want.

So what should you do once you buy our black-colored jeans? Well, nothing, as we ensure the black color, is well set and the quality is well maintained.

Still, if you wish to know how to keep your favorite black denim as Black then here are the tips:

When you buy new black denim- Set the dye

Set Black as Black:

Set the dye is important when you buy a new pair of jeans. Before you put it in for a first wash or before even wearing it the first time.

Soak jeans in a large bucket filled with cold water and a tablespoon of salt and vinegar.

This will make a huge difference, trust me as I have done it and it has made the black last much longer.

Tips to maintain the black of your black denim:

Wash jeans, not that frequently:

Washing them causes premature fading. Machine wash is a kind of sin. Hand wash is the better thing to do. Spot washing is the better option and holds off washing denim a little longer. And if you have to wash denim in the machine, then ensure it is on a gentle cycle instead of rigorous spins.

Use Cold Water:

Hot water removes stain but so it does to dye. So the advice is to wash black denim in cold water.

Color protecting detergent:

Many detergents are available on shelves that are made specifically for dark clothes.

Wash with dark clothes only: as you do with your whites wash black denim with dark colors such that it helps in avoid fading.

Wash the denim inside out and it reduces contact with soap and water, rubbing with other clothes that helps in protecting the color for a long time.

Avoid dryer: Heat makes denim fade faster so better to dry your denim turned inside out in the air on the drying rack, away from sunlight.

To be very honest, well faded black denim is a fad these days and kind of the biggest trend so worry less and enjoy wearing your sexy black denim.
